Let it fall off. Live like transformation is normal.
Let it fall off. Change is normal.
I wonder how a caterpillar feels right before they break their cocoon. Even as a caterpillar, they MUST feel the way we do. Maybe they feel the same way a snake does when its time to shed their skin. Do insects, reptiles, or animals have the capacity to feel anything? Is one of their purposes on earth is to feel nothing, but to orchestrate life right before our eyes.
The snake takes a process of two weeks to shed their skin. We only witness about 2 days of the process that is visually obvious. During those 2 weeks, do they feel like they're dying? Does it hurt? Are they experiencing any discomfort? Shedding their skin for new skin is a heavenly demonstration of what needs to be done sporadically in our own human life span in regards to our spiritual, mental, and emotional growth. There is no said space in time between the shedding of the skin for snakes. This involuntary process will continue to happen sporadically for their entire life span. They never stop growing. Chew on that.
Interesting enough, a caterpillar sheds it’s skin at least 4 times in it’s life cycle. They eat non stop until they are stretched to break their skin. Then, they grow new skin with a new design! WOW! It is said that nature has it so the caterpillar changes it’s skin as a means of survival. Its because of their vulnerability to predators. Sit with that for a moment.
Let’s mimic the Praying Mantis. By how it is their nature to sit in one spot waiting and watching until they break the barrier of time and they become invisible to all life forms. Doing this by occupying one space completely still, quiet, positioned as if they are praying. Lets do this in nature, as Mother earth will show us our life within herself. Our human cycle is consistently and non stop being played before our eyes at all times, day and night.
Shedding our skin and changing the way we look is necessary. Along with being still in prayer is necessary to become unrecognizable by our enemy. Shedding our skin is necessary to continue growing. We will never stop growing.
Seeing this process in the nature can look painful and like a slow death. But it is truly a process that is graceful and miraculous!
We will not avoid changing ourselves. Nature has it that way. The old part of us dies and falls off as we continue to grow. We will never stop growing.
It feels like we are dying, and grieving. But we must pray for grace at this stage in our process. May we shed our skin as beautifully and as gracefully as our nature does. May we not hurt, may our tears be dried. May we mount the wings of our Butterfly that goes before us, knowing our change is also for our protection.
May we please, be more Graceful.
