Hard Work -vs- Struggle

Hard Work -vs- Struggle

It would appear that hard work and struggling goes hand in hand. This is not the case and is two very different things, entirely.

Struggle implies lack, poverty, being incapable, dysfunction, as well as having many obstacles that prevent someone from proceeding on their path. Struggling may come in the form of sickness. A common theme among people who struggle is living “paycheck to paycheck”. There are countless obstacles in this life that cause people to struggle. However, struggling doesn’t automatically identify with defeat or failure. Struggling, simply, holds hand with it’s friend “deficiency”.

Hard work does not connect with struggling, not in the least bit! Hard work is relevant to people who have evolved to a place of recognizing purpose and destiny. Hard work, unlike struggle, speaks of resources, options, decisions, gain, and character building. Hard work has identified a goal and a focus for itself. In America, where destiny and purpose is not traditionally marked at birth for most, it takes people longer to determine their paths. New found knowledge, several awakenings, goals, deadlines, and character building, are common challenges among hard workers. Developing discipline and character is not an obstacle. Developing discipline and character is called growth. Hard work does not recognize failure or defeat. Hard work holds hands with substance and stability. *Omilola
